Root will bat at no. 3 which Cook conceded was 'quite an Australian thing to do'.
Roland-Jones becomes the first TOBY selected in living memory

Jake Ball will make his Test debut tomorrow with Toby Roland-Jones being 12th man.
Root, Vince & Ballance will bat at 3,4 & 5.

Jimmy Anderson expected to be fit for the Second Test.

looking forward to this. i fail tebbits cricket test so 100% with pak. we have an EXPLOSIVE pace attack, good to see Amir back. batsmen also in good form albeit against weak bowling in the first 2 tour games. should be alot tighter than the sri lanka series especially if the weather stays dry, pitches harden.

I know you know about cricket Matt and aren't a plum, but there's no point smashing a load of chumps around and then failing against every decent nation in games that matter because you have no technique.
